ThermTec Ventus 635L Multi-Spectrum Binoculars

The ThermTec Ventus 635L combines thermal imaging and digital day/night viewing in one binocular. Switch between viewing modes as the light changes, with an integrated laser rangefinder providing distance measurements without a separate device.

Sensitive thermal imaging

A 640 × 512 thermal sensor with a 12µm pixel pitch and sensitivity below 15mK works alongside a 35mm F0.9 objective lens. Thermal magnification ranges from 2.6x to 10.4x, including digital zoom.

The thermal field of view covers 21.9 × 17.6 metres at 100 metres, providing useful coverage for scanning your surroundings. A 50Hz refresh rate supports smooth viewing.

ThermTec specifies a thermal detection range of up to 1,800 metres. This is a detection figure, rather than a guaranteed identification distance; conditions and the size of the subject affect what you can distinguish.

Digital day and night viewing

The separate 12-megapixel CMOS sensor provides a digital viewing channel alongside thermal imaging. Switchable 850nm and 940nm infrared illumination supports observation after dark.

Having both channels gives you different ways to examine a scene. Thermal imaging highlights temperature differences, while digital viewing can provide additional visual context.

Integrated laser rangefinder

The ThermTec Ventus 635L includes a laser rangefinder rated to 1,000 metres, with stated accuracy of ±1 metre. Distance information is available within the binocular, keeping observation and measurement together.

Display, recording and storage

A 1600 × 1200 AMOLED display presents the image, while built-in 64GB storage supports photo and video recording. Audio recording and playback let you retain more of your observations for later review.

Comfort and power

Adjustable eyepiece spacing from 60–72mm helps accommodate different users. Two replaceable 18650 batteries provide a stated runtime of up to six hours, depending on use and conditions. The housing carries an IP67 protection rating.
