Description
The Pulsar Thermion Duo DXP50 combines two imaging systems in one multispectral riflescope: a thermal channel and a full-colour digital daytime channel. This gives you different ways to view the same scene, from temperature contrasts to the colours and detail visible in daylight.
Both channels offer 2x base magnification, extending to 16x with digital zoom.
Pulsar Thermion Duo DXP50 Features
- 640×480 thermal sensor with 17µm pixel pitch.
- 50mm F/1.0 thermal objective lens.
- 4K CMOS daytime sensor with 3840×2160 resolution.
- 2–16x magnification on both channels.
- 50Hz thermal refresh rate.
- Picture-in-Picture viewing.
- Built-in photo and video recording.
- Dual-band Wi-Fi.
- Rechargeable battery system.
- IPX7 waterproof rating.
Thermal and Full-Colour Daytime Viewing
The thermal channel displays differences in heat, allowing observation in daylight or darkness without relying on visible illumination.
The digital daytime channel provides a full-colour view when sufficient light is available. These two channels offer complementary information: thermal contrast from one and visible colours and textures from the other.
Weather, lighting and temperature contrast affect the image. Rain and fog can reduce performance, so viewing conditions remain an important consideration.
Matching Magnification on Both Channels
The Pulsar Thermion Duo DXP50 provides the same 2–16x magnification range on its thermal and daytime channels. At minimum magnification, both offer a field of view of 21.8 × 16.4 metres at 100 metres.
Digital zoom enlarges the displayed image. It does not increase the underlying sensor resolution.
Recording and Mobile Connectivity
Save photographs and video using the integrated recorder and 16GB internal memory. Dual-band Wi-Fi and Stream Vision 2 compatibility provide supported connections to your smartphone or tablet.
The 4K specification refers to the daytime sensor. Recorded photographs and video are specified at 1024×768, so this should not be confused with 4K video recording.
Rechargeable Power and Weather Protection
An internal rechargeable battery works alongside a removable battery pack. USB-C external power support provides another power option.
The aluminium-alloy body has an IPX7 waterproof rating. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for care, charging and storage to keep the device in good condition.
