Thermal Viewing by Day or Night
The thermal sensor displays differences in heat rather than relying on visible light. This allows the Talion XQ38 to produce an image in darkness without a separate infrared illuminator.
Image quality depends on the temperature contrast between a subject and its surroundings. Weather conditions, including rain and fog, can affect the detail visible through the device.
Compact Design and Accessible Controls
The Talion’s controls sit on the top of the eyepiece housing, providing access for both right-handed and left-handed users. Its battery compartment opens from above, allowing access to the removable battery pack.
This layout keeps frequently used controls and the power supply accessible within a compact body.
Rechargeable Battery Power
The Pulsar Talion XQ38 uses an interchangeable APS 5T battery. Pulsar specifies approximately nine hours of operation at 22°C, with actual runtime depending on conditions and the use of functions such as Wi-Fi and recording.
A spare compatible battery can help extend time away from a charging point. Check the supplied package contents before ordering additional batteries or accessories.
Record and Review Observations
The built-in recorder saves photographs and video with audio to the device’s internal memory. This makes it possible to review observations later without attaching a separate recorder.
Stream Vision 2 supports file downloads and compatible device functions over Wi-Fi. Follow Pulsar’s guidance for application compatibility and firmware updates.
