The Nocpix QUEST H50R combines thermal imaging and laser rangefinding in a traditional binocular format. Designed for handheld observation, it brings a detailed thermal view to wildlife watching, countryside outings and estate work, with comfortable viewing through both eyes.

Detailed 640 × 512 thermal imaging

The 640 × 512 sensor uses a 12μm pixel pitch and thermal sensitivity of ≤15mK to reveal small temperature differences. A 60Hz refresh rate helps maintain fluid viewing while scanning the landscape or observing movement.

The 50mm F1.1 objective lens provides a stated detection range of up to 2,600 metres. This refers to detecting a heat source under specified conditions; identifying a subject depends on its size, distance and the conditions.

Adjustable magnification

Magnification ranges from 4× to 32×, allowing you to adjust the displayed view for different observation distances. The field of view measures approximately 15m × 12m at 100m.

The 4× base magnification provides a closer starting view for inspecting subjects across open ground. Increasing magnification enlarges the image, while returning to the lower setting helps retain surrounding context.

Integrated 1000m laser rangefinder

The Nocpix QUEST H50R includes a concealed laser rangefinder capable of measuring distances up to 1,000 metres. This brings observation and distance measurement together without needing a separate handheld rangefinder.

Knowing the distance helps place an observation within the landscape, whether you are checking activity across a field or watching wildlife near a woodland edge.

AMOLED display and viewing comfort

The 1920 × 1200 AMOLED display presents the thermal image through the binocular eyepieces. The viewing system includes 25mm eye relief and a 10mm exit pupil, supporting comfortable positioning during observation.

Adjustable viewing settings let you tailor the image to your preferences. The binocular format also offers a familiar handling experience for users moving from conventional daytime optics to thermal equipment.

Practical power and outdoor handling

A built-in battery works alongside a replaceable 18650 battery, providing flexibility when planning longer outings. Carrying a charged spare gives you another power option when away from charging facilities.

The rubber-coated body provides a secure grip, and IP67 protection supports use outdoors. Central controls keep common adjustments within easy reach, helping make the binoculars straightforward to operate while observing.
