Description
HIKMICRO Condor CQ35L 2.0 LRF Thermal Monocular
The HIKMICRO Condor CQ35L 2.0 is a premium 640 thermal imaging monocular with integrated laser rangefinder, combining excellent thermal sensitivity, a wide field of view and long-range detection in a compact handheld design.
Featuring a high-resolution 640×512 12µm thermal sensor with <15mK NETD, a fast 35mm F1.0 objective lens and HIKMICRO’s advanced image-processing technology, the Condor CQ35L 2.0 delivers a detailed thermal image even in challenging, low-contrast conditions.
An integrated 1000m laser rangefinder, up to 1800m manufacturer-stated detection range, HIKMICRO Shutterless Image System (HSIS) and high-resolution OLED display make the CQ35L 2.0 an excellent thermal spotter for wildlife observation, gamekeeping, pest control, land management and professional field use.
High-Resolution 640×512 Thermal Sensor
At the heart of the HIKMICRO Condor CQ35L 2.0 is a high-resolution 640×512 thermal sensor with a 12µm pixel pitch.
Combined with excellent <15mK NETD thermal sensitivity, the CQ35L 2.0 can detect extremely small differences in temperature.
This helps reveal greater detail when observing in difficult conditions where thermal contrast may be reduced, including damp weather, mist, high humidity and colder environments.
A 50Hz frame rate provides smooth thermal imaging when scanning or observing moving animals.
35mm F1.0 Objective Lens
The CQ35L 2.0 combines its highly sensitive 640 thermal sensor with a fast 35mm F1.0 germanium objective lens.
This provides an excellent balance between magnification, detection distance and field of view, making the CQ35L particularly effective as a handheld thermal spotter.
The 12.5° × 10° field of view, equivalent to approximately 21.9m × 17.5m at 100 metres, allows large areas to be scanned efficiently without sacrificing useful long-range performance.
Integrated 1000m Laser Rangefinder
The HIKMICRO Condor CQ35L 2.0 features an integrated laser rangefinder (LRF) capable of measuring distances out to a manufacturer-stated 1000 metres.
The rangefinder provides measurement accuracy of approximately ±1m under specified conditions.
Accurate distance measurement is particularly useful when using thermal imaging because judging the distance to a heat source from the thermal image alone can be difficult.
The integrated LRF means there’s no need to carry a separate handheld rangefinder.
Up to 1800m Thermal Detection
Despite the relatively wide field of view provided by its 35mm lens, the Condor CQ35L 2.0 offers a manufacturer-stated detection range of up to 1800 metres.
This gives the CQ35L an excellent combination of wide-area scanning and longer-distance thermal detection.
Actual detection and identification distances will vary depending on target size, weather, vegetation, atmospheric conditions and the surrounding environment.
1.9–15.2x Magnification
The HIKMICRO Condor CQ35L 2.0 provides 1.9x base magnification, with digital magnification extending the viewing range up to 15.2x.
The relatively low base magnification complements the wide field of view when scanning fields, woodland edges and hedgerows.
Once a heat source has been located, additional magnification can be applied for closer observation.
HIKMICRO Shutterless Image System – HSIS
One of the standout features of the Condor 2.0 series is HIKMICRO’s Shutterless Image System (HSIS).
Traditional thermal imagers periodically perform image calibration, which can momentarily interrupt the thermal image.
HSIS is designed to minimise these interruptions and provide a smoother, more continuous viewing experience during observation.
This is particularly useful when tracking moving wildlife or continuously scanning an area.
Image Pro & Zoom Pro
HIKMICRO’s advanced image-processing technology helps maximise the performance of the high-sensitivity thermal sensor.
Image Pro enhances thermal image detail and definition, while Zoom Pro is designed to maintain useful image quality when digital magnification is increased.
Together with the <15mK sensor, these technologies help provide a detailed and natural thermal image across a wide range of observation conditions.
High-Resolution 1920×1080 OLED Display
Thermal images are viewed through a large 0.49-inch 1920×1080 OLED display.
The high-resolution display complements the 640 thermal sensor and provides a detailed and comfortable viewing experience during extended observation.
Multiple thermal colour palettes are available, including:
- White Hot
- Black Hot
- Red Hot
- Fusion
- Red Monochrome
- Green Monochrome
The image can therefore be configured to suit different environments and individual viewing preferences.
Built-In Photo & Video Recording
The Condor CQ35L 2.0 includes 64GB of internal storage for recording thermal photographs and video directly through the monocular.
Audio recording is also supported.
This allows interesting observations to be captured in the field without requiring a separate recording device.
Dual-Band Wi-Fi
Built-in 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi provides wireless connectivity to compatible devices and HIKMICRO’s supported mobile applications.
This allows additional connectivity and media functions to be accessed from a compatible smartphone or tablet.
Replaceable 21700 Battery
The Condor CQ35L 2.0 uses a replaceable and rechargeable 21700 lithium-ion battery.
HIKMICRO states an operating time of at least approximately 6.5 hours at 25°C with Wi-Fi, Zoom Pro and LRF switched on.
The replaceable design also means a spare charged battery can be carried for extended periods in the field.
USB Type-C provides direct charging and support for an external power supply.
Compact & Lightweight
Despite its 640-resolution sensor and integrated laser rangefinder, the Condor CQ35L 2.0 weighs approximately 458g including the battery.
The compact cylindrical design and rear focus wheel are intended to provide comfortable handheld operation during extended periods of scanning and observation.
IP67 Weather Protection
The CQ35L 2.0 carries an IP67 protection rating, providing protection against dust and water for demanding outdoor environments.
Its manufacturer-stated operating temperature range extends from approximately -30°C to +55°C, making it suitable for year-round field use.
Ideal for Wildlife, Gamekeeping & Pest Control
The combination of a wide field of view, high thermal sensitivity and integrated LRF makes the HIKMICRO Condor CQ35L 2.0 particularly versatile for:
- Wildlife observation
- Gamekeeping
- Pest control
- Land and estate management
- Field scanning
- Woodland and hedgerow observation
- Night-time observation
- Locating animals and other heat signatures
- Professional thermal observation
For pest-control and gamekeeping applications, the 12.5° field of view makes it particularly useful as a thermal spotter for quickly scanning an area, while the integrated LRF provides immediate distance information once a heat source has been located.
