Description
Guide TE421 Thermal Monocular
The Guide TE421 Thermal Monocular offers handheld thermal observation in a compact, portable format. Its 400 × 300 infrared detector and 25mm lens help reveal warm subjects against their surroundings, making it useful for wildlife watching, countryside outings and checking outdoor areas after dark.
Thermal imaging works without an external infrared illuminator, allowing you to observe heat signatures in daylight as well as darkness.
Detailed thermal imaging
The 400 × 300 sensor uses a 12μm pixel pitch and 25mK thermal sensitivity. Paired with a 25mm F1.0 lens, it provides a detailed thermal view for scanning the landscape and inspecting areas of interest.
The listed detection range is up to 1,400 yards. Detection means spotting a heat source; identifying an animal or recognising fine detail depends on distance, weather and the subject.
AMOLED display and adjustable magnification
A 0.32-inch AMOLED display with 800 × 600 resolution presents the thermal image through the eyepiece. The compact screen provides a clear viewing interface without adding unnecessary bulk to the device.
Magnification ranges from 1.9× to 7.6×. Start at the lower setting to retain more of the surrounding scene, then enlarge the displayed image when you want a closer look.
Manual focusing allows image sharpness to be adjusted for the observation distance. The adjustable eyepiece helps accommodate different users.
Capture and review observations
The Guide TE421 Thermal Monocular supports photographs and video recording with audio. Its 16GB internal storage provides space for saved media, making it convenient to keep a record of wildlife activity.
Wi-Fi connectivity adds connected viewing and control options through a compatible app. These features allow an observation to be revisited after your outing rather than relying solely on what you saw through the eyepiece.
Rechargeable power for outdoor trips
The built-in rechargeable battery offers approximately five hours of operation under specified conditions. Actual runtime varies with temperature, settings and use.
Fast charging can provide around one hour of operation from a ten-minute charge when used with suitable charging equipment. This is useful when preparing for a short outing or topping up between sessions.
Compact and convenient to carry
The pocket-sized design makes the TE421 easy to keep close at hand. It suits users who want a portable thermal viewer for regular trips without carrying a larger observation device.
Compare the Guide TD210 Thermal Monocular or consult the official Guide TE411 and TE421 user manual for further product information.
