HIKMICRO M15 Trail Camera

The HIKMICRO M15 is a 4G cellular trail camera for monitoring wildlife and outdoor locations remotely. When triggered, it can transmit photographs and video to a smartphone through the HIKMICRO Sight app, subject to a suitable data plan.

10MP photographs and Full HD video

The M15 captures photographs at up to 10MP and records video at up to 1080p with audio. You can choose between photo, video or combined photo-and-video capture modes.

Video options also include 720p and WVGA, allowing you to balance image quality, file size and transmission requirements.

PIR detection and fast triggering

A passive infrared motion sensor detects movement up to 25 metres away. The 0.5-second trigger speed helps the camera respond quickly when an animal enters the detection area.

The PIR range, infrared intensity and operating schedule can be adjusted through the HIKMICRO Sight app. Scheduling can help reduce unwanted activations in locations with regular background movement.

4G transmission and app control

The built-in 4G connection sends captured images and videos to the HIKMICRO Sight app. The app can also display camera status, deliver activation alerts, manage settings and help organise captured files.

A data plan is required for cellular transmission. Network coverage and plan availability should be checked for the intended installation location.

Covert night observation

Twelve 940nm infrared LEDs provide night illumination. The camera records colour images by day and black-and-white images at night, allowing monitoring to continue in darkness.

Power, storage and mounting

The M15 uses six or 12 standard AA batteries, not included, and also supports a 12V external power supply. An SD card is required for operation and is not supplied; HIKMICRO lists support for cards from 8GB to 64GB.

A standard 1/4-inch tripod mount and installation strap provide flexible mounting options. The IP66 housing is designed for outdoor use.

Compare the HIKMICRO SP5000 solar panel for an additional power option, or visit the official HIKMICRO M15 page for further information.
