Description
HIKMICRO Lynx Pro V2 LH19 384 Thermal Imaging Monocular
The HIKMICRO Lynx Pro V2 LH19, also known as the HIKMICRO Lynx 2.0 LH19, is a compact and highly sensitive 384×288 thermal imaging monocular designed for wildlife observation, gamekeeping, pest detection and general countryside use.
Combining a 384×288 12µm thermal sensor with excellent <20mK thermal sensitivity and a 19mm F1.0 objective lens, the LH19 V2 is designed to reveal useful thermal detail even when temperature differences within the landscape are very small.
With a wide field of view, 1.8× base magnification and a manufacturer-stated detection range of up to approximately 900 metres, the Lynx Pro V2 LH19 is particularly effective as a handheld thermal spotter for scanning fields, woodland, hedgerows and game-rearing areas.
The second-generation design also introduces important upgrades including a 1024×768 OLED display, 16GB internal storage and replaceable rechargeable battery, making it a significant step forward from the original Lynx Pro LH19.
384×288 12µm Thermal Sensor
At the heart of the HIKMICRO Lynx Pro V2 LH19 is a 384×288 VOx uncooled thermal detector with a 12µm pixel pitch.
The 384-resolution sensor provides detailed thermal imaging in a compact handheld format and is well suited to locating and observing animals across a wide variety of countryside environments.
A 50Hz refresh rate provides smooth thermal imagery when scanning an area or following moving wildlife.
<20mK High Thermal Sensitivity
One of the most important improvements offered by the Lynx Pro V2 LH19 is its excellent <20mK NETD thermal sensitivity.
Lower NETD figures indicate the sensor’s ability to distinguish smaller differences in temperature.
This becomes particularly valuable in difficult thermal conditions such as damp weather, mist, high humidity or environments where the background and target are at similar temperatures.
The improved sensitivity helps reveal additional detail within the landscape rather than simply showing the hottest objects within the scene.
19mm F1.0 Objective Lens
The 19mm F1.0 objective lens gives the LH19 V2 an excellent balance between detection distance and field of view.
Rather than concentrating purely on long-range magnification, the 19mm focal length provides a relatively broad viewing area.
This makes the monocular particularly effective for handheld scanning when the first priority is locating an animal or heat source.
Wide Field of View
The LH19 V2 provides a generous 13.8° × 10.4° field of view, equivalent to approximately 24.2 × 18.2 metres at 100 metres.
This makes it particularly useful for scanning:
- Fields and field margins
- Woodland
- Hedgerows
- Paddocks
- Farm and estate land
- Game-rearing areas
- Feeding areas
- Gardens and buildings
A wide field of view makes finding animals easier because a larger area of the landscape remains visible through the monocular.
Up to 900m Detection Range
HIKMICRO specifies a detection range of up to approximately 900 metres for the Lynx Pro V2 LH19.
This gives the compact 19mm monocular useful detection capability while retaining the wide field of view that makes it such an effective general-purpose thermal spotter.
Actual detection and identification distances will vary according to target size, weather, vegetation, atmospheric conditions and the surrounding environment.
Detection distance should not be confused with positive identification distance.
1.8× Base Magnification
The HIKMICRO Lynx Pro V2 LH19 starts at approximately 1.8× base magnification.
This relatively low initial magnification works particularly well for thermal scanning because it helps maintain the wide viewing area.
Once a heat source has been detected, digital magnification can be used for closer observation.
The combination of low base magnification, 19mm lens and 384-resolution sensor makes the LH19 V2 particularly well suited to general-purpose spotting.
1024×768 OLED Display
Thermal images are displayed through a high-quality 1024×768 OLED display.
OLED technology provides a clear and detailed viewing experience while helping make the most of the thermal information captured by the sensitive detector.
Multiple thermal palettes allow the displayed image to be adapted according to the environment and individual preference.
HIKMICRO Image Processing
The Lynx Pro V2 LH19 incorporates HIKMICRO’s image-processing technology to improve the appearance and usability of the thermal image.
Image Pro processing helps enhance image detail and provides a clearer representation of both the target and surrounding environment.
Combined with the <20mK detector, this helps the LH19 V2 deliver a detailed thermal image in a wide range of conditions.
Built-In Photo & Video Recording
The HIKMICRO Lynx Pro V2 LH19 includes both photo capture and video recording.
With 16GB of built-in storage, users can record interesting wildlife observations or other thermal footage directly through the monocular without requiring a separate memory card.
Recorded files can subsequently be transferred for viewing and storage.
Wi-Fi & HIKMICRO Sight App
Built-in Wi-Fi connectivity allows the Lynx Pro V2 LH19 to connect to compatible smartphones and tablets.
Using the HIKMICRO Sight App, supported features can be accessed from a connected mobile device, providing a convenient way to view and manage thermal imagery and recordings.
Replaceable 18650 Battery
A particularly useful improvement over the original Lynx Pro generation is the replaceable rechargeable battery system.
The Lynx Pro V2 LH19 uses a removable 18650 rechargeable battery.
A replaceable battery provides a major practical advantage during extended periods outdoors because a discharged battery can be swapped for a charged spare rather than having to stop using the thermal monocular while the entire unit recharges.
This makes the LH19 V2 particularly suitable for gamekeepers, estate workers and wildlife observers who may spend extended periods away from mains power.
Compact & Lightweight
The Lynx Pro V2 LH19 retains the portability for which the Lynx range is known.
Its compact dimensions allow it to be carried comfortably in a jacket pocket, bag or equipment pouch, making it easy to keep the thermal spotter close at hand while walking or working outdoors.
For a thermal monocular, portability can be just as important as outright detection range – a compact thermal that’s easy to carry is much more likely to be available when needed.
IP67 Weather Protection
The HIKMICRO Lynx Pro V2 LH19 carries an IP67 protection rating, making it suitable for demanding outdoor environments.
Its robust construction and wide operating temperature range make it suitable for year-round countryside use.
Ideal for Wildlife Observation
The combination of a wide field of view and excellent thermal sensitivity makes the LH19 V2 particularly useful for wildlife observation.
The 19mm lens allows a large area to be scanned efficiently, while the <20mK detector helps reveal animals and surrounding landscape detail even when thermal contrast is limited.
Ideal for Gamekeeping & Estate Use
For gamekeepers and estate workers, the Lynx Pro V2 LH19 provides a compact thermal spotter that can be carried throughout the working day.
It is particularly useful for scanning:
- Game-rearing areas
- Fields
- Woodland
- Hedgerows
- Feeding areas
- Farm and estate land
- Buildings and yards
Its replaceable battery system is also advantageous where the monocular may be required for extended periods.
