Scan the Landscape with 8x Magnification
The 8x model provides a slightly wider field of view than the Rangeguide 2800 10×50, helping you see more of the surrounding area while observing a subject.
Lower magnification also makes hand movement appear less pronounced than at 10x. This can make the 8x format a comfortable choice for handheld viewing, particularly when scanning for longer periods.
If greater magnification is your priority, compare the GPO Rangeguide 2800 10×50 before choosing.
Integrated Distance Measurement
Check an individual point with a single measurement or use scan mode for repeated readings across the landscape. Hyperscan takes four measurements per second, allowing you to check several points without repeatedly starting a new measurement.
The maximum 2,800-metre range applies to highly reflective targets under suitable conditions. Actual measurement distance depends on visibility, ambient light and the target’s size, surface and angle. It is not a guaranteed measurement range for every animal or object.
More Information in Your View
The GPO Rangeguide 2800 8×50 provides direct-distance and horizontal-distance information, together with angle and temperature readings. The OLED display keeps this information within the viewing system, with brightness adjustment to suit the conditions.
Horizontal distance and direct distance differ when you are looking uphill or downhill. Having both available helps you understand the ground between your position and the point being measured.
Set Up Before Heading Out
Adjust the eyecups and binocular spacing to suit your eyes, then set the focus and display brightness. Practise taking measurements on familiar landmarks so you are comfortable with the controls before using the binoculars in the field.
