Description

Pulsar Thermion 3 LRF XR60 Thermal Scope

Thermal sensitivity and image configuration

The XR60 combines a 640 × 480 thermal sensor with 12 µm pixel pitch and a 60 mm F1.0 objective. System NETD is specified below 18 mK, supporting the display of small temperature differences within the observed scene. The horizontal field of view measures 7.3°, covering 12.8 m at 100 m. Specified detection distance is 2800 m for a deer-type object.

Three sensitivity amplification settings provide control over image presentation as conditions change. A selectable smoothing filter reduces image noise, particularly at higher amplification settings. Nine colour palettes offer alternative ways to distinguish the subject from its background.

Magnification, display and handling

Magnification extends from 4× to 40×, with a physical zoom ring providing direct adjustment without entering menus. The direction of ring operation can be configured to suit the user. Central focusing is accessible with either hand, and the supplied lever provides an additional grip point on the zoom ring.

The 2560 × 2560 AMOLED display presents the thermal image alongside the reticle and operating information. Rectangular and round picture-in-picture modes allow closer inspection of the selected area while retaining the wider scene. Eye relief is 65 mm, with adjustable eyepiece dioptre correction. A proximity sensor switches the display off when the eye moves away.

Rangefinding and ballistic settings

The integrated laser rangefinder measures distances up to 1200 m with specified accuracy of ±1 m. Single measurement, continuous scan and true horizontal distance modes accommodate different ranging requirements. The rangefinder sits within the housing, separate from the thermal objective.

An onboard ballistic calculator uses configured profiles to display corrections and a Suggested Point of Aim. Stream Vision Ballistics supports profile transfer to the riflescope. Ten zeroing profiles each store up to ten distances, keeping settings organised across configurations. One-shot, zoom and freeze zeroing methods are available. Scalable reticles retain their subtensions through magnification changes, while elevation and side-incline indications provide information about rifle orientation.

Power, mounting and recording

The dual-battery arrangement combines removable and built-in APS5 batteries, each rated at 4900 mAh. Maximum operating time is 14 hours at 22°C. Actual runtime depends on use of wireless connectivity, recording and rangefinding. USB-C Power Delivery supports an external power supply.

Standard 30 mm rings provide mounting compatibility. The housing carries an IP67 protection rating, with operation specified from −25°C to +50°C and recoil resistance rated at 6000 J on rifled weapons.

Photographs and video with sound are saved to 128 GB of internal memory. Stream Vision 2 supports streaming, remote control, file management and firmware updates through Wi-Fi connectivity.
