3M Peltor Bulls Eye III H540A Hearing Protectors

3M Peltor Bulls Eye III ear defenders are designed for sports shooting and hunting applications. These passive earmuffs provide hearing protection without batteries, Bluetooth or electronic sound amplification.

The H540A headband model combines a double-cup construction with wide cushions for comfortable wear.

Double-cup design

The double-cup arrangement helps improve attenuation at lower frequencies. Current 3M technical documentation lists a Single Number Rating of 34dB SNR for the H540A.

Protection depends on selecting suitable earmuffs and wearing them correctly. Follow the instructions supplied with your pair and the protection requirements of your shooting venue.

Headband and ear cushions

The stainless steel headband is designed to maintain consistent pressure during wear. Soft, wide foam cushions spread the contact around the ears.

Check the fit with any eyewear or other equipment you normally wear. The cushions need to maintain a continuous seal, so take care that clothing or other items do not interfere with their contact.

Replaceable wear components

Replacement cushions and inserts are available separately, allowing worn components to be renewed. 3M identifies the HY54 hygiene kit for this model.

Inspect the cushions and headband regularly. Follow the manufacturer’s cleaning, storage and replacement guidance to keep the ear defenders in serviceable condition.
